Tea Lawns, Wannock Gardens, Polegate
Wholesale and retail stationers and printers, 42 & 43 Market Street, Brighton, and for some years also at 2 Marshalls Row and at King Street. Gillett took over from Waterfield & Co. in the late 1890s, and were still in business in the mid 1980s, but closed before they could celebrate their centenary. The firm supplied Wannock Tea Gardens in the mid 1920s with attractively coloured halftone cards of the gardens to sell as souvenirs. The cards are marked on the back with the Gillett name and logo.
