Photographers, 51 Western Road, Brighton. Jerome Ltd. were in business by 1934 and survived the war, closing in the early 1950s. They developed and printed films for amateur photographers, often as real photographic cards, and had branches in several towns. The quality of the pictures is generally poor, and the cards mostly lack captions. Shown above is a card of cows gathered around Ditchling Beacon dewpond. Another card with 1936 written on the back shows Wolstonbury Hill. A cut above the average is a card showing the proclamation of King Edward VIII at Southover Church at Lewes in June 1936. Unlike the majority of Jerome Ltd.'s cards, this particular card may have been printed in bulk for sale in a shop.
